LYNCHBURG, VA. –The Highlanders men's cross country team placed fifth at the Liberty Big South Preview. The men scored 131 points. The Highlanders were paced by senior Dawit Legesse (Springfiled, Va.) who placed in the top 12. 

Legesse placed 12th with a time of 27:14.10. He was followed by fellow Highlanders Joel Hanlon (Winchester, Va.) and Liam Arocho (Virginia Beach, Va.). Hanlon finished 21st with a time of 27:48.60 while Arocho placed 26th with a time of 28:49.
