LYNCHBURG, Va. –The Highlanders women's cross country team placed fifth at the Liberty Big South Preview. The women scored 113 points and were paced by freshman Ashlyn Sinclair (Silver Springs, Md.), who finished in the top 15.

Sinclair finished 12th with a time of 20:06.70 to led to the Highlander women. Juniors Tara Connor (Virginia Beach, Va.) and Lori Crotts (New Castle, Va.) placed 21st and 22nd respectively. Connor finished with a time of 20:45.20 and Crotts was right behind her with a time of 20:46.80.

Finishing 26th was junior Brittany Christian (Cary, N.C) with a time of 21:15.40 and sophomore Rachel Travitz (Roanoke, Va.) was not far behind Christian. Travitz placed 32nd with a time of 22:27.30
