LYNCHBURG, VA. –Radford's women's cross country team participated in the 2008 New Balance Big South Championship on Saturday at Liberty's cross country course. The women's team placed fifth with 130 points. Junior Lori Crotts (Newcastle, Va.) earned All-Conference honors for her top 10 finish. 

Crotts had her best finish at a championship event with an eighth place finish and a time of 19:03.94.

“It is a great accomplishment for Lori to garner Big South All-Conference Team honors said coach McGranahan.” Lori has really stepped up her training level as the season has progressed and she showed it out here on the course today.”

Junior Tara Connor (Virginia Beach, Va.) finished in the top 20. Connor crossed the finish line in 20th with a time of 19:47.19.

Brittany Christian (Cary, N.C.) came in 30th with a time of 20:26.06, which was her best finish in a championship event. Ashyln Sinclair (Silver Spring, Md.) and Rachel Travitz (Roanoke, Va.) placed 36th and 39th respectively.

Christian was named to the 2008 Cross Country All-Academic Team.
