RADFORD, Va. – Radford softball standout Kristen Shifflett (Charlottesville, Va./Monticello) recently had a successful showing at the 2009 Amateur Softball Association of America 23-Under Fast Pitch National Championship. Coming off one of the biggest offensive campaigns in program history, the rising junior was named first team all-tournament after helping the Virginia Renegades to a third place showing at the tourney held from July 16-19 in Sterling, Va.

In six games, Shifflett batted .357 with a home run, two RBI and three runs scored while recording a .500 on-base percentage.
