HIGH POINT, N.C. –Senior
Lori Crotts (New Castle, Va./Craig County) finished in the top-10 for the second straight meet on Saturday afternoon at the 2009 Big South Preview at High Point, N.C.
The Radford women’s cross country team posted a team score of 132 points, which was good for sixth place overall.
For the second straight time the Highlanders have placed two runners in the top 25, Crotts and
Hannah Scheren (Lovettsville, Va./Loudon Valley).
Crotts finished eighth overall among a field of 57 runners with a time of 19:44.00. This is her second top-10 finish of the season as she placed second in the Virginia Tech Relays with Scheren. Scheren finished with a time of 20:21.00, which was good enough for a 24th place finish.
Tara Connor (Virginia Beach, Va./Kellam) placed 31st with a time of 21:25.00, while
Brittany Christian (Cary, N.C./Green Hope) and
Rachel Travitz (Roanoke, Va./Cave Spring) each crossed the finish line with times of 21:52.00 and 22:05.00, respectively.
Radford will return to action on October 2 at the Charlotte Cross Country Invitational.
