Radford Softball to Hold First Ever Alumni Game

RADFORD, Va. -- Radford Softball will host its first ever alumni game on Sunday, Oct. 4 at RU Softball Field. The contest is part of the Highlanders' fall tournament that also features Roanoke College and Virginia Intermont on Oct. 3 and 4.
Former Highlanders will don the red and white at 11 a.m. on Sunday, facing off against the 2009-10 edition of Radford Softball. Alumni will be lacing up the cleats, putting on the visors and running out to their respective positions as the opposition for the first time in their careers.
Members of last year's Big South champions, all-conference and all-state honorees, regional selections, record book holders and a professional will be just some of the athletes returning to the New River Valley this weekend for a friendly game of softball.
