Longwood Tips Radford, 1-0, in Men's Soccer

FARMVILLE, Va. – An own goal in the 18th minute was the difference in Longwood’s 1-0 win over Radford on in non-conference men’s soccer on Tuesday night.
For the second game in a row, the Highlanders (1-1-0) were involved in a game where an own goal was scored.
Despite their six shots, to Longwood’s (1-1-0) four, Radford could never find the back of the Lancers’ net.
In last Friday’s (Sept. 4) season opener at Appalachian State, both teams scored on their own nets.
Radford’s 2009 home opener is Friday night, when the Highlanders host East Tennessee State at 7 p.m.
