FINAL ROUND TEE TIMES
NINETY-SIX, S.C. – Radford’s
Kyle Bailey (Fincastle,Va./James River) carded a two-over 74 Tuesday and sits tied for 11th after 36 holes of the 2010 Big South Men’s Golf Championships.
The three-day/8-team event is being played on the Par 72, 7,079-yard The Patriot Club at Grand Harbor layout.
After opening with a one-over 73 Monday, Bailey (+3) will enter the final day just four shots out of second place.
Weston Eklund (Charlottesville, Va./Albemarle) and
Michael Wade (Floyd, Va./Floyd) each shot 77 Tuesday and are tied for 25th and 27th, respectively.
Lane Hite (Clarksville, Va./Bluestone) was one stroke better than his Highlander teammates with a four-over 76, while
Wade Wawner (Virginia Beach, Va./Floyd E. Kellam) shot 90 after shooting even par on day one.
As a team, the Highlanders are in sixth place with a 36-hole total of 602 (298-304), which is just 12 strokes out of third.
Coastal Carolina (286-290 = 576) stretched its overnight team lead to eight shots over Charleston Southern, while the Chanticleers’ Dan Obremski (67-72) grabbed the top spot on the individual leaderboard.
The third and final round will begin tomorrow at 8 a.m. The Highlanders will be playing in threesomes with Winthrop and Liberty.
