DROBNJAK AND TOMAIC EARN ALL-CONFERENCE HONORS

RADFORD, Va.
Mia Drobnjak (Zagreb, Croatia/Sporska Gimnazija) and Ivana Tomaic (Zagreb, Croatia/Third Gymasium, Kuslanova) of the Radford women’s tennis team earned all-conference accolades, as announced by the league office Wednesday evening.

Drobnjak was named to the singles all-conference, while Tomaic was selected to the all-academic squad.

Playing at No.1 singles for the Highlanders, Drobnjak finished the regular season 13-4 overall and 3-4 in conference play. During the month of March, she went a combined 8-0 at the top two singles positions. She was also named the Big South Player of the Week for matches played March 8-14.

Tomaic was named to the all-academic team for her work in the classroom as well as on the court. Tomaic carries a 3.76 grade point average while majoring in marketing. To go along with her most recent academic honor, she recently received the Beta Gamma Sigma International Award.
