LYNCHBURG, Va. –
Kyle Morse (Hingham, Mass./Northfield-Mount Herman) of the Radford men’s track and field team finished first in the hammer throw at the Liberty Twilight Thursday night.
Morse reached a distance of 63.68m (208’11”) to place first in the competition. His teammate
Matt Dobson placed third in the hammer throw competition with a mark of 54.51m (178’3”).
Elsewhere in the field events,
Sean Domer reached a mark of 60.67m (199) to finish second in the javelin.
Tony Brown Jr. reach a height of 1.99m (6’6.25”) in the high jump to finish in fourth place.
On the track,
Brett Olinger crossed the finish in fourth place with a time of 53.71 in the 400m hurdles. Olinger running mates on the 4x400m relay team,
Olajuwon Jones and
Kaise White placed fifth and ninth in the open 400m, respectively. Jones ran a time of 48.38, while White crossed at 49.47.
Austin Cuffee (Hampton, Va./Bethel) finished seventh in the 200m with a time of 21.60 while
Drew Hall (Vinton, Va./William Byrd) placed ninth in the 800m with a time of 1:55.21.
