SOFTBALL RECEIVES VOTES IN USA TODAY/NFCA DIVISION I TOP 25 POLL

RADFORD, Va. – Radford Softball received two votes in the most recent USA Today/NFCA Division I Top 25 Poll, announced Tuesday afternoon by collegiate softball's governing body. With those votes Radford is tied for 29th in the nation.
It marks just the second time that Radford, who shares the spot with Hofstra, USF, Louisiana-Lafayette and BYU, has obtained votes. It is also the highest ranking in school history. On April 1, 2008, the Highlanders received their first ever vote in both the NFCA and the USA Softball polls, which put them at 34th and 37th, respectively.
Following exams week, Radford closes out its regular season on Friday, May 7 at Appalachian State. First pitch of the doubleheader is set for 4 p.m.
