INCOMING VOLLEYBALL DUO RECEIVES AWARDS

RADFORD, Va. – Incoming freshmen Storm Melnick and Emily Carlin of the Radford volleyball team, were recently honored for their play at the club and high school level, respectively.
Along with leading her club to a second place finish, Melnick a member of the 18-under Club Fusion squad, was selected “Best Passer” at the 2010 PrepVolleyball.com Classic.
On the heels of earning a spot on the 2009 PrepVolleyball.com High School All-America Team, Carlin was voted Bishop Shanahan's Most Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year.
Radford will open its 2010 campaign at the Duquesne Tournament Aug. 27-28 in Pittsburgh, Pa.
