RADFORD, Va. – Third-year head coach Randy Jarman recently announced that Jessica Frazelle (Lexington, N.C.), Sydney Sweet (Cary, N.C.), Cara Chance (High Pont, N.C.), Meaghan Rowley (Smithfield, Va.) and Ellyn Schweitzer (Chesapeake, Va.) have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Radford swimming and diving team for the 2010-11 campaign.

Incoming freshmen Rebecca Moyer (Virginia Beach, Va.), Parrish Wills (Chapel Hill, N.C.) and Emily Normandy (Fairfax, Va.) will also join the program this fall.

“Our coaching staff is extremely excited about this recruiting class,” said Jarman. “Our goal this past season was to add versatile, athletic and smart young ladies to the roster. We felt we were successful in that regard. Each of these girls has excelled in the classroom and we have high expectations for our team’s grade point average. In addition, the versatility of this class will allow much more flexibility when making line-ups against opponents. Much of our success in next year’s conference finals will depend on our girls’ ability to gel with one another as a team. Even with the balance and versatility this freshman class adds, girls will still have to step up and perform in order for us to move up from last year’s finish. I look forward to next season and coaching this group of young athletes.”
