MEN’S BASKETBALL TO HOST BINGHAMTON IN SEARS BRACKETBUSTERS CONTEST

RADFORD, Va. – Radford will make its third appearance in the annual Bracketbusters when the Highlanders host Binghamton from the America East Conference on Saturday, Feb. 18 at the Dedmon Center.

The 10th annual Sears Bracketbusters will feature 142 teams from 16 conferences.

The Highlanders are 1-1 in the event with both of their previous contests coming against Colonial Athletic Association members. Radford defeated UNC Wilmington, 78-68, in 2010 before falling on the road to William & Mary a year ago.

As part of the agreement, all home teams will play a “return” game at the facility of their opponent in November or December of the 2013-14 season.

Binghamton is currently 0-21 (0-9 America East) on the 2011-12 season and 1-0 all-time in Bracketbuster matchups, with a 66-56 win at Manhattan in 2008.
