
SIX HIGHLANDERS SELECTED TO VaSID 2012-13 ACADEMIC ALL-STATE TEAM

NEWPORT NEWS, Va.- Six Radford student-athletes were selected to the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) Academic All-State team, announced by the organization on Tuesday. A total of 221 student-athletes, representing 37 schools in the state were recognized.
To earn VaSID Academic All-State honors, a student-athlete must have achieved at least a 3.25 grade point average and be at least a sophomore.
VaSID is comprised of sports information or athletics communications professionals from intercollegiate institutions throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. Membership is open to any individual affiliated with one of the state's institutions at the NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, NAIA, USCAA and community college levels, provided that individual's area of responsibility lies within the realm of sports information.
The following six Highlanders were honored:
Randall Carter - Jr., Men's Tennis, Finance, 4.0
Kirsty Condon - Jr., Women's Golf, Major: German/Minor: Economics, French, Spanish, 4.0
Rachel Conway - Jr., Women's Soccer, Exercise, Sport & Health Education (Exercise Sport Sciences), 4.0
Eric Graves, Jr. - Men's Track & Field, Exercise, Sport & Health Education (Exercise Sport Sciences)/Minor: Business Admin, 3.76
Paige Reese, Jr. - Women's Golf, Management & Marketing, 4.0
Megan Rhodes - Sr., Women's Soccer, Elementary Education & Spanish, 4.0
