Malinda Tasler was named Associate Athletics Director for Compliance in the Fall of 2019 and became Radford Athletics' Senior Woman Administrator in the Summer of 2022.
 
Tasler joined Radford Athletics from the University of Virginia’s College at Wise, where she was the Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations and Compliance since February of 2016. In November 2017, her role was expanded as she was named Senior Woman Administrator. In her role, Tasler oversaw all areas of student-athlete eligibility, progress toward degree completion and rules education programs. Additionally, she handled departmental contracts and supervised assigned sports.
 
A native of Grand Marais, Minnesota, Tasler went to UVA-Wise after serving as the Compliance Coordinator, Sports Information Director and Game Day Manager at Bluefield State College in Bluefield, West Virginia. During her two years at Bluefield State, Tasler ensured the school was in full compliance with NCAA and Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) legislation while being involved with all aspects of student-athlete eligibility. In addition to her duties as Compliance Coordinator, Tasler assisted in designing a new athletic website with PrestoSports, created all athletic department social media and kept statistics for all home sporting events. As Game Day Manager at Bluefield State, she oversaw the scheduling of game day workers for all indoor sports.
 
Prior to her time at Bluefield State, Tasler served as the UNIV 100 Service Project Coordinator at fellow Mountain East Conference member Concord University in Athens, West Virginia. From the summer of 2012 to the fall of 2013, Tasler organized and created all the service projects for the school year after reaching out to the local organizations, and was in charge of all file reports on UNIV 100’s progress. Tasler also volunteered as a softball coach for the Mountain Lions.
 
From 2009 to the early summer of 2012, Tasler was the Head Softball Coach and Game Day Manager at Fort Scott Community College in Fort Scott, Kansas. As head coach of the softball program Tasler was in charge of hiring an assistant coach and delegating duties, while also taking care of all sports information duties for softball. Tasler also headed the setup for football, volleyball, basketball and softball games, in addition to updating the softball facilities. She was instrumental in fundraising approximately $8,000 for the softball program and assisted in the eligibility and class schedules of her players.
 
Serving as an assistant softball and women’s basketball coach at Neosho County Community College in Chanute, Kansas, from 2007-09, Tasler was in charge of recruiting for both the softball and women’s basketball programs. She assisted in game administration for indoor sports while also maintaining the softball’s webpage and keeping statistics for volleyball, basketball and softball games.
 
In addition to her work experience, Tasler has had plenty of professional development that includes attending the NCAA Rules Seminar, ECAC-SIDA and CoSIDA Conventions every year since 2014. She also attended the 2019 NCAA Inclusion Forum. Along with the seminars and conventions, Tasler has been an ECAC-SIDA, CoSIDA, NFCA and WBCA member in the past and is a current NAAC member.

Earning a Sports Management degree from the University of Minnesota-Morris in 2006, Tasler graduated from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas, with a Master’s of Health and Human Performance in 2010. Tasler was a two-year team captain in basketball at Minnesota-Morris, earning the Willis Kelly Award as the most outstanding female student-athlete of the year.

She was also a First-Team All-Upper Midwest Athletic Conference selection and set the single-game scoring record with 42 points in a game. Tasler surpassed 1,000 points in her career and was named to the UMAC All-Defensive Team.
 
A First-Team All-UMAC selection in softball, Tasler won the Golden Glove Award and also the Big Bat Award for the Cougars. Tasler also set the school single-season home run record at Minnesota-Morris.
